The Women in Agribusiness Week (WAW) Conference 2025 is a landmark event organized by the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) in partnership with the Department of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere University. Scheduled to take place from 4th to 9th November 2025 at the Department of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere University, the conference aims to celebrate, empower, and amplify the voices of women in agribusiness across Uganda, Africa, and the diaspora. An award ceremony will be held on 8th November 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Hotel Africana, Kampala. Notably, the conference is a follow-up of the WAW launched on 22 May, 2025 in the Mayor’s Parlour at the Kampala City Council Authority, Uganda. The launch was organized by the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU), in collaboration with several co-hosting stakeholder organizations
