Press Releases: End of year 2013 Statement

Dear country men and women,

On behalf of the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU), we greet you in the name of the Almighty God who gives and provides for us out of his abundant love. We congratulate you upon ending the year 2013, and all stakeholders (government, religious institutions, Civil Society Organizations and the entire public) for your tireless efforts in making this year a special moment of grace for the people of Uganda.

Fellow Ugandans, as we enter the year 2014, we ask God to give us wisdom to discern his will in our lives and conform to it in our actions and relationships. As a country we face many challenges and, therefore, need a combination of faith and deliberate action to overcome or minimize them. We take this opportunity to bring to your attention some of the salient issues that continue to rob us of our peace.
